People without health insurance
Basic course: Understanding causes, better assessing cases
Service Description
In your work as a consultant, you frequently encounter people who have problems with their health insurance or are uninsured altogether. You've heard of family insurance, you know that self-employed individuals are often privately insured, and yet you realize: the system is opaque and difficult to navigate in everyday life. This 2.5-hour hands-on introduction provides you with a structured overview. You'll learn why, despite mandatory health insurance, there are people without it in Germany and what typical paths lead to being uninsured. Practical examples will illustrate where you, as a professional, can provide rapid support and where the system's limitations lie. After the course, you will know: - why some people in Germany live without health insurance - the fundamental differences between statutory and private health insurance and what other options are available - in which situations rapid support is possible - for which groups of people there are currently no practical solutions - how to proceed effectively in medical emergencies
